Yesterday our UK currency came in from Forex. Sure, there are plenty of ATMs in England but we wanted to have some with us as we stepped onto UK soil. Now we can pay our way to downtown London without scurrying around attempting to find an exchange bureau or an ATM.
Three days left.

Arlington VA
Once again I am not showing a photo of London. I was testing the low light characteristics of the Canon S90. This picture is of a commercial courtyard at the Pentagon City mall just at dusk. The sun had set and the moon is at the top of the frame. The scene is much dimmer than it looks here.
The f2.0 lens Canon puts in this camera lets in an extraordinary amount of light, rendering this low-light setting in a lovely glow with nice contrast.

Pub - Not London
Another experiment. We had lunch at a pub nearby. A lovely day so we sat outside. This is the view we enjoyed.,
Milo
This has nothing to do with London, either. I'm experimenting posting directly from my flickr account. This is our big Tuxedo cat. At this particular moment he is behaving well.
The Blogger
Well, OK, this wasn't taken in London, but rather in one of our favorite restaurants in town, BBs. We bought a Canon Powershot S90 for the trip. It is small but has excellent resolution and does a good job of managing light. The subject is not particularly improved by the quality of the camera, however.
Train Strike
Oh, well, this is good news. We get into London on Easter morning. Rail workers plan to strike on Tuesday through Friday. We return to the U.S. on Saturday. The Tube is not supposed to be affected but I wonder how many more will be using the subway system as a result. But both sides may find a resolution before the strike date. More information can be found here.
