This abbey dates from the end of the 15th century. The abbey was abandoned after Henry VIII threw out the Catholic Church but was restored later only to be bombed in WWII by the Germans as revenge for Allied bombing of civilian targets in Germany. Now it is a lovely church, filled with light and lovely architectural features.
