Before Heading to the Room

The Intercontinental has a nice lobby bar where we had a nightcap before turning in. We had our gin and tonic with Schweppes Indian tonic. Very tasty.

The bar is staffed by these tall, very attractive Eastern European women wearing unusually tight black evening dresses and extraordinarily high, high heels. Patrons are almost entirely men and were there when we got there and still there when we left.

I wonder if there is a connection between attractive female servers and men lingering in the area as they consume a not inconsiderable amount of alcohol. Hmmm.

By the way, we had the TV on in the room to see what the next day's weather would be (nice for three days in a row starting Thursday) and saw a Hyundai ad where they pronounced it Hee-yun-dee.

It rained on and off most of the day today. The last rain we would see.
