Paddington Station

The train comes into Paddington Station, a great old Victorian barn of a railway station that still looks much as it did a century ago. I snapped this picture today. The white balance of this camera can't quite keep up with the flood of light coming in through the windows at the back of the station so you can't see all the wonderful filligree adorning those back windows. Great mood the place evokes.

Here is a century-old photo of Paddingtron. The wall on the left of my picture is the same wall on the left of the historical picture.  Boots, a pharmacy, is now across the street from the station.  All in all, still very similar.
