We decided to go see Billy Elliott last night. A big musical playing here and New York and Australia. I bought the tickets online and was instructed to pick them up at the Victorian Palace Theater, where the musical is playing, an hour before show time. When we showed up we were welcomed by a long line for Will Call, picking up purchased tickets at the box office. Staff yelling to the masses, "Ef ya got yur tickets please muv to tha doble doors". Love listening to the accents.
Your typical big Broadway musical -- broad themes, heavy dose of sentimentality, old-fashioned humor with jokes you've heard in one version or another many times before. But fun nevertheless and a good time.
