Westminster Cathedral

We went to Westminster Cathedral next. You can't take pictures inside so I have nothing to show. Gloria, we did walk by Edward I's crypt. And Edward the Confessor who died in the 12th century and the Duke of Lancaster's crypt which has lain at Westminster since 1296. Chaucer was buried there in 1400, although not because he was the author of Canterbury Tales but because he was an employee of the abbey. Funny, that.

Many visitors clogged the aisles but nothing as it is in July, when you are just part of a river of tourists sweeping you along in its inexorable tide. July is horrible, but April is OK for Westminster.
